PDO or Novathreads, are made of a Polydioxanone - a material used in biomedical applications, particularly in cardio-thoracic surgery. The sutures are fully absorbed by hydrolysis within 4 to 6 months & do not create any scar tissue. The suture stimulates collagen synthesis & the skin structure created will hold for another 12 to 15 months. They can be used as an adjunct to fillers. PDO are also commonly used to treat laxity of tissues in the body (neck, butt, lower thigh, abdomen), as well.
